Reconciliation
Catholics are asked to receive confession at least once a year, for all mortal sins.
St. Jude hold two penance services each year, one in Lent before Holy Week and one in Advent before Christmas.
We encourage all to make time to receive this sacrament which brings us closer to God.

Children, teens and adults who have already received the Sacrament of Baptism and are interested in receiving the Sacrament of Communion must enroll into the Religious Education Program. Confirmation
Couples interested in celebrating their wedding ceremony at Saint Jude must first call the Parish Office to schedule an appointment to speak to one of our priest. We ask that you schedule your appointment at least 9 months prior to your desired wedding date. For more information please contact our wedding coordinator at (619) 264-2195.
Marriage
We encourage anyone one discerning a religious vocation to schedule an appointment with one of our parish priest or contact the Office for Vocations at (619) 291-7446.
Holy Orders
Parishioners in need of Anointing of the Sick can contact the Parish Office to schedule a visit.
Anointing of the Sick
Teens and adults who have already received the Sacrament of Baptism and Communion and are interested in receiving the Sacrament of Confirmation must enroll into the Religious Education Program. Newborn - Age 6
Only parents or legal guardians are able to schedule a baptism.
Parents must come into the Parish Office with ALL the requirements in order to reserve a date. For more information please contact Parish Office.
Baptisms are celebrated on Saturdays only at 10:00 a.m.
Requirements
1. Godparents must be practicing Catholics.
2. Only TWO godparents are permitted, one man and/or one woman.
3. Godparents must have received Baptism, First Communion, and Confirmation.
* If single, must have received ALL Sacraments and bring in Confirmation Certificate.
* If married, must be married through the Catholic Church. Unmarried couples living together or married civilly only will not be accepted.
4. Parents and Godparents must attend one pre-baptismal talk before the day of the Baptism.

Children Age 7+
Children older than 7 years old are enrolled into the Religious Education Program under the RCIA Children to receive instruction on the teachings of the Catholic Church. The RCIA Children program takes three years to complete, once completed children receive the sacraments of Baptism, Communion and Confirmation. Adults 18+
